About Josie ...

Josie is a 4yr old chihuahua/jack russell terrier mix. Although small in stature this little dog comes with a big personality. She is 11" tall and 11 pounds of pure spunk!

Josie started competing in canine disc in the summer of 2006 and is taking the circuit by storm, wowing the crowds wherever she goes. She is currently the smallest disc dog in competition.

Wherever she goes judges comment that she is one of the most talented and athletic disc dogs they have witnessed.

Josie recently competed at the USDDN National Qualifier in Ottawa, Ontario and the following statement was made by Melissa Heeter, on one of the major disc dog internet groups. Melissa was one of the judges (a well known & respected individual in the sport of canine disc):

"One of the biggest highlights from the tournament was watching Jackie Parkin's little Chihuahua mix, a little spit fire of a dog, dazzle the crowd."

Josie is a diamond in the rough with a long disc doggin' career ahead of her!!

Josie also competes in flyball racing and is one of the height dogs for the Northern Borders Flyball Team. In addition to competition, Josie also performs with Team K9 at fairs, exhibitions, trade shows, and charity events in Southern Ontario.
